Automatic tamper that levels every dose to a set pressure.

Tamping by hand is the least repeatable step in making espresso, and it is the one that causes channelling. The Puqpress removes the variable: insert any portafilter, the sensor triggers, the clamps lock it in place, and it tamps flat at a pressure you set in 1kg increments from 5kg to 30kg.

The bed of grounds comes out level every time, regardless of which barista is on. It also takes the wrist and shoulder load out of the job, which is where tamping injuries come from. Puqpress measure the workflow gain at around 30 per cent.
