Description
A spouted matcha bowl in kiln glaze, so you can whisk in the bowl and pour into the glass.
The spout is the difference here. A standard chawan is meant to be drunk from directly, which is correct for straight matcha but awkward for an iced latte where you want the paste to go into a glass of milk. This bowl pours cleanly.
Kiln glazing gives each piece slight variation in colour, so no two are identical. Six colourways: apple green, kiln baked blue, kiln pink, kiln purple and two more, all in a pink bow box with a green pattern.

Ceremonial grade is made from young first-harvest leaves and is meant to be whisked with water and drunk on its own. Culinary grade is designed to hold its flavour against milk and sugar in lattes and baking.
Sift a small measure into a bowl, add water at around 80 degrees rather than boiling, and whisk briskly until it foams. For a latte, make that paste first and then add your milk.
Keep it sealed, cold and away from light. Matcha loses colour and sweetness quickly once air reaches it, so reseal it properly after every use.
