Description
Backflush powder for espresso machines, 1kg.
Coffee oils build up in a group head and turn rancid, and that is what puts the stale, bitter edge on shots from a machine that has not been cleaned. This powder dissolves quickly, rinses free without leaving a residue, and strips the oils, grounds and staining out.
It leaves no odour behind, which matters because anything that does ends up in the next cup. Use it for the daily backflush and for soaking group handles and filter baskets. A 1kg tub covers a long stretch of daily cleaning.

- Backflush: 1 level scoop in a blind filter for daily cleaning, 2 scoops if cleaned less often
- Run and stop the cycle 5 times at 10 seconds each, rinse, then repeat 10 times at 5 seconds

Use the cleaner specified for your equipment type. Espresso machine backflush powder, grinder cleaner and milk line cleaner are not interchangeable, and the wrong one can damage seals.
For a busy cafe machine, backflush daily and deep clean weekly. Grinders want a clean at every bean change. Domestic machines can go longer, but not indefinitely.
